City to Surf
It is again that time of year when we are looking to assemble a willing team to participate in the iconic Sun Herald Annual City to Surf. This year the race will be held on the morning of Sunday 9th August, and like always, is sure to be a wonderful day.
Each year, the Stillbirth Foundation Australia assembles a team of mixed ability. Your personal fitness level does not matter, as some of us run, some walk, but more importantly we all have fun. For those setting the challenge of running the 14km trip from the City to Bondi – you will have a fabulous sense of achievement and can celebrate with all the festivities at the finish line. For those walking, it is a great opportunity to talk for a whole 14km. Before you know it, you would have crossed the finish line and made lots of new friends along the way!
Registrations open on Sunday 24th May. To enter into the Stillbirth Foundation Australia's team, please follow these simple steps:
1. Register at www.city2surf.com.au
2. Select your start group and continue (you may only select entry plus postage, no subscription offers or merchandise can be selected).
3. Put in your entry detail information and click continue.
4. Select "I would like to search for an existing team" and select continue.
4. Type in the team name - Stillbirth Foundation Australia
5. Continue to find your team.
6. You will need to type in your password: UNG938. You do not need to add any other team details to your entry form.
6. When you reach the end you will be asked to pay for your entry and then "save and exit".
7. The message then appears "Your team entry has been saved and will appear in the listing of your Team Manager". The Team Manager will approve entries on a weekly basis and you will then receive an email with further details about your race pack.
In addition, this year we have joined with the “Herald Heroes” website in order to make the event a fundraising activity as well. Please visit the City to Surf's website to register and follow the steps to set up your own fundraising page to start raising money for the Stillbirth Foundation Australia.
Entrance fees are to be met by each entrant and, in order to help raise awareness of our cause, we will also be selling at cost Stillbirth Foundation Australia running singlets and caps before the day.
