ICAP CHARITY DAY 2007

ICAP, the world's premier voice and electronic interdealer broker, held its 15th global annual Charity Day on Wednesday 12th December 2007.  The day was a huge success with more than £9.2 million raised, which will be donated to a selection of charities around the world, including the Stillbirth Foundation.

Although the final amount that the Stillbirth Foundation will receive will not be known until January 2008, we are honoured to have been included in this event with the funds received going toward much needed research and public awareness for our cause.

Over the past 15 years, ICAP staff and customers globally have raised more than £42 million on Charity Day, a day on which all revenues and commissions are given away to a selected number of selected charities to make a difference to their operations.  On this day, the brokers themselves are giving away their own commissions to charity, as well as the company giving away its revenues.

As part of the day's activities, ICAP hosts the charities' celebrity ambassadors and spokespeople for a day of fun and festitivities with ICAP staff dressing up in various themes.  Some of the themes in the Sydney office this year included the Spice Girls, a team of Santa Clauses, Hare Krishners, a group of Scotsmen and the IT room was transformed into a night club!
