The Stillbirth Foundation Committee is thrilled to report that we have sold all 300 tickets to our first ever fundraising Ball! Fortunately we are pleased to be able to offer you additional seats.

We have been overwhelmed with the response and thank those people who are coming to this entertaining night sincerely for their support.

Website Launch

To coincide with the official launch of the Stillbirth Foundation, our website went live for the first time on the same day. Our website is a little spartan at the moment, but it will grow over time. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

The domain name was kindly donated by David and Carmel Shaw. The website, hosting and download capacity has been donated by shawware.com.au.

Foundation Launch

On Sunday October 23, 2005, the Stillbirth Foundation was officially launched over lunch at the picturesque Shores Restaurant, Mosman.

The diners were entertained by two excellent keynote speeches. The first from Professor Jonathan Morris outlined the research the foundation will help make possible and the objectives of the foundation.

Our second keynote speaker, Deb de Wilde, was greeted with a standing ovation, to recognise the outstanding support she had given to many at the lunch and the Order of Australia Medal she recently received.

Diners were also entertained with lucky door prizes, raffles and many silent auctions. These, along with the lunch ticket price, helped raise over $13,500.

The lunch finished with the release of balloons, each bearing the name of a child lost to stillbirth.
