Family, friends, work colleagues and communities can often feel helpless when they hear of a loved one that has been touched by the unimaginable sadness of losing a child. Supporting the Stillbirth Foundation Australia is a way that you can make a difference.

There are a variety of ways you can help the Stillbirth Foundation Australia to achieve its goal to reduce the incidence of stillbirth in Australia. You can make a tax deductible donation, purchase Stella the Stillbirth Foundation Bear or donate goods and/or services.

Donation

Thank you for considering a donation to the Stillbirth Foundation Australia. All donations over $2 are tax deductible in Australia, and therefore by law you must include your address details so that we can send you a tax receipt.

You can donate online or offline - both are explained below.

A lot of our donations are received in memory of beloved babies, at the time of their birth or annually in memory of their birthday. If you wish your donation to be recorded in memory of a baby or babies, please include their name (or names) and birth date when making your donation.

Donate Online

You can donate safely and securely online using the buttons below. Paypal is used to handle our payments and you do not need to have a Paypal account to make a donation. You can pay by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or through your Paypal account (if you have one). Please click on one of the five pre-defined amounts or use the "my choice" button to specify your own donation amount. Please include your email address so that Paypal can send you a payment confirmation.

Nominating a baby can be done in the second step of the Paypal process (after entering your name, address and credit card details) under the heading "This donation is in memory of".

Please note that Paypal charges a small fee (~2%) for processing your donation.

Donate Offline

Using our Donation Form, you can make a donation by cheque, credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or EFT. Please return the form to us by post or scanned and attached to an email. There is space on this form to nominate the name of a baby in whose memory the donation is made.

Stella the Stillbirth Foundation Bear

All profits from the sale of Stella the Stillbirth Foundation Bear go directly to the Stillbirth Foundation Australia. Purchasing Stella Bear, as a gift for a family that has been touched by stillbirth or to donate to a Hospital, is a way that anyone can help reduce the incidence of stillbirth. Donating Stella to a local Hospital to give to other stillbirth bereaved families is a loving gesture. You are welcome to do this directly or you may contact the Teddy Love Club for assistance. Once again, purchases of Stella Bear can be made in memory of babies. Stella costs just $25 (including $5 for postage within Australia), and to order Stella the Stillbirth Foundation Bear please download and complete our Donation Form and return it via the post. For international postage, please contact donations@stillbirthfoundation.org.au to obtain a quote.

In Celebration

Are you planning a party for a birthday, christening, wedding, or anniversary? Why not consider raising funds for the Stillbirth Foundation in lieu of gifts this year.

Or, have you always wanted to achieve something, like bike ride around Thailand, cut off your dreadlocks, give up smoking or lose weight? Why not decide to make that dream a reality and ask family and friends to support you through raising funds for the Stillbirth Foundation.

For these purposes, you can set up your own fundraising page by following this link to our EveryDay Hero page. Please note that this service is maintained by Everyday Hero which charges a fee of 6% for processing your donation.

Share Your Photos With Us

As a parent driven charity, the Stillbirth Foundation Australia has always used images of babies to demonstrate the reality of stillbirth. In order to continue with this practice, we would like to create a bank of photographs for use our presentations, newsletters, brochures and other promotional materials. The photographs will be kept safely on file and at every use your baby's name will always be acknowledged and you, as parents, will be thanked.

If you would like to be involved, please send an electronic photo or two of your baby. Please do not feel restricted with what you send, as we need a variety of photos. For instance, apart from photos featuring a beautiful baby on his/her own, we'd love to see photographs of babies with their parents, family, and friends, some showing little hands and little feet and any images that show the true raw emotions evoked by stillbirth.

Please complete this permission form and return it as a scanned attachment in an email, along with the electronic copies of your photos to melinda@stillbirthfoundation.org.au or post it to our postal address.

Donating Goods and Services

The Stillbirth Foundation has only been able to operate with minimal expenses thanks to our wonderful and generous supporters of goods and services as listed in the Supporters section. Please check them out and if the opportunity arises, please patronise their business as thanks for their support of the Stillbirth Foundation!

In addition, the Stillbirth Foundation regularly seeks donations of prizes for our fundraising events. If you wish to offer a donation for this purpose, please contact info@stillbirthfoundation.org.au.
